Joining Afternoon Tea (AT) can be an exciting step in your Raid: Shadow Legends journey, but it’s understandable that the ranking system, promotions, demotions, and calibration process can be confusing at first. This guide aims to clarify how things work so you can progress effectively and maximize your experience in AT.
1. Understanding AT’s Progression System
AT is structured into a ladder system where all containers (clans) are aligned according to player performance, participation, and activity level. The ATI (Afternoon Tea Index) is the key factor in determining the highest container you qualify for. Your placement is not static—you can be promoted, demoted, or recalibrated based on your results. The progression pathway follows these stages:
- Road to UNM – Unlocking and actively top chesting UNM clan boss daily.
- CVC and ATI – Developing CVC performance and improving ATI.
- CVC T6 – Achieving T6 CVC performance.
- CVC T6 PR – Hitting personal rewards in T6.
- End Game Competitive Content – High-level CVC, Hydra, Chimera, Siege, etc.
After PR, the competitive focus shifts to:
- Hydra
- Arena/Siege
- Chimera
2. Promotions & Demotions
Promotion Criteria:
- The primary factor for promotion is ATI. Players must have an ATI that qualifies them for a higher container.
- To gain access to competitive containers (PR+), players must request a promotion.
- Once a promotion is requested, a challenge is created. The player must win the challenge to be promoted.
- For non-PR containers, challenges may not be necessary.
- If a container is full, AT may use the challenge mechanism to determine placements, regardless of PR status.
Demotion Criteria:
- Failing to maintain an adequate ATI for your container can lead to a demotion.
- Inactivity or inconsistent performance across multiple events can trigger a review.
- If you’re struggling with a game mode, reach out for guidance before a demotion occurs.
3. Calibration: How It Works
Calibration is only available for new accounts joining AT. If a new player shows strong potential, they may be placed in our flagship container. Otherwise, they are typically calibrated into a container that matches their estimated performance.
Returning players do not receive calibration privileges. Since they have already shown that they cannot consistently stay active, they start at the bottom (a reasonable placement) and must push their way back up through performance.
4. How to Track Your Progress
To stay informed about your standing and potential promotions:
- Check your ATI on our website – the public listing is updated once a month after each PR round.
- Ask leaders for feedback on where you stand and what you can improve.
If you have further questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out in Discord. Welcome to AT, and let’s keep growing together!
